Devil’s Bit Loop gpx means is an easy and short hike near Templemore in County Tipperary.

You can leave your car at the car park, signed and marked on Google. You will be on the top in less than 1 km.

Follow the path and you soon will see the cross. Pass by the tower and the Virgin Mary’s grotto and soon you are at a saddle between two mountains.

Take to the left and start the stairway. This is steep, although not really hard. Some parts will be narrow and a little bit more difficult, children may need help and you have to be careful.

The summit is near, and you will get there very quickly. Remember that the site on the saddle is very steep and even though you can descend that route, it is recommended to expert hikers only.

You can instead come back the way you climbed and this time take to the right at the fork. You can see a wide path, with benches and view on the North Tipperary, you can also see Lough Derg on the distance.

You are on the Forest loop and just take left to all crossroad, after 3 km (less than 1 hour) you will be back at the tower. Take down to the right to reach the car park where you started.
